Agent Pitch Sessions
Saturday, June 10
Greetings! Thank you for registering for Between the Pages Writers Conference 2023. We are excited to see all of you at the conference. Please read the information below and contact us with any questions you may have.
We are currently scheduling pitch appointments with industry experts. If you choose to pitch to an agent, you will be assigned a specific appointment time. Be aware these are very short ~ 10 minute / appointment. We will adhere to the schedule in order to maximize attendees’ opportunity to participate.
Generally, if you are pitching fiction, you must have a completed, polished manuscript, a short 2-3 sentence pitch, and a book description prepared. But do not bring a full printed manuscript with you. The agent will request what they want you to send by email following the conference. We suggest you research the literary agency and agents prior to pitching, familiarize yourself with their submission requirements, and be aware of the other authors they represent. That information can be found on their website.
**Be advised, most agents will not offer you representation for work you have self-published.
Each attendee will get only one (1) pitch session, so please choose who you want to pitch carefully.
A free one-hour Zoom meeting regarding pitching preparation is offered June 3, 2023 at 10 AM. All those registered to pitch will receive the Zoom link / email for that session.
